Bertie Mae Lucich was born on March 18, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Eleonay Ricardo Trevino and Raquel Quintero Trevino, the first born of a large beautiful family. She passed away on January 1, 2018 at the age of 91.

On January 15, 1945, Bertie married the love of her life, Jack Lucich, in San Marcos,Texas. They started their marriage of many years in Roseville, California near Jack's family. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Suzette and Bonnie.

Bertie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, and a creative, intelligent and strong woman. She loved to garden and landscape, paint and entertain family and friends with her superb cooking skills and beautiful table decor. Her creative talents were evident in the breathtakingly beautiful flower arrangements she designed for her garden club when she and Jack lived in Paradise, California. But Bertie's true love was her family, and she will always be remembered for her boundless, unconditional love.

Fourteen years ago, her beloved Jack passed away. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Lucich in 2013 and two of her siblings, Dahl Huckeba and Richard Trevino. Bertie is survived by her loving daughter, Suzette Lucich; granddaughter, Sonja Gilson/Lykins; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Lykins; and siblings, Mindy Faillace, Edna Trevino, Fred Trevino, Robert Trevino, Norma Jean Garcia, and Norman David Trevino.

There will be a Celebration of Bertie's Life held at a later date.
